After coming from Cyprus in my own country, I saw the difference between the cars.
On Cyprus you have such a choice of it! There are almost no seriated cars. But, there is one common detail - the motion is like in London, so all steering wheels are made according its standards. There are all kinds of brands here, the favorites of Europe, USA, Japan, German or South Korea, including some old, almost forgotten ones. But this is not the case of poverty; some people are fond of old cars. The coming people or the Cypriots hire a huge number of cars, regardless the world fame, that every Cypriot has more then one car. It surely creates some problems for parking, especially in tourist zones. Of course, there is no signaling on the car, as nobody even don't have on mind to steal it or damage it.
Cyprus should be enormous thankful to its geographic position. I saw even one coming Dubai (very reach), who every year bring his Lamborghini to the island. But he is not so distinguished from the on Cyprus, as there is no poor Cypriot. I was many times there and I really did not see any hints on poverty.
